The foundation of giving begins with God Himself, who is the ultimate Giver.

• John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son…”

• Proverbs 3:9–10 – “Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: so shall thy barns be filled with plenty…”
  When we give, we honor God and acknowledge Him as our source.

• 2 Corinthians 9:7 – “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
